Union Square’s Wix Lounge housed a food fanatic’s dreamspace not to be confused with what is usually their workspace, last night. The Brooklyn Bakery hosted event consisted of multiple vendors showcasing their latest menu items. The food and beverage sponsors were from Kumquat Cupcakes, Oaxaca Tacos, Greensquare Tavern, Alchemy Creamery, BK Winery, Herb N Zest, and Brooklyn Brewery.
My first stop was at Greensquare Tavern which had some of the most amazing tuna tartare in addition to some other really wonderful treats.
The server was quite approachable, easy to talk to, and quite passionate about the business.
Next stop was Herb N Zest’s table.
Then I migrated over to the Oaxaca section where they had three various tacos – chicken, beef and potato. Since my food ticket only allowed one taco, I decided not to crapshoot it on the potato and therefore stuck with the chicken.
For sweets, Kumqwaat provided the nicest little cupcake treasures. They were perfect. That’s pretty much all I can say. The salted caramels were pure joy.
